Nothing exciting today :-)

The best thing about today is that we’re now so near to my sister’s, that I know I’ll finally see her tomorrow! I’m feeling excited about that J

Today, though, just wasn’t exciting. There was NO wind. I was obviously a little bored, and today’s pictures prove it.

I'm trying to be creative - waving "hi!"

Is it because we're so close to Washington, DC that there are so many military aircraft in the skies?

We did pass one curious bay - Mallows Bay, home of the Ghost Fleet of Mallows Bay, the largest shipwreck fleet in the Western hemisphere. During World War 1, a fleet of wooden transport ships was  being built, but the war ended before they were put to use. The metal in them was salvaged, and their wooden hulls were burnt.

Though today wasn't very exciting, dinner was good. We had some of our oysters as an appi, and I tried one of Helene’s (my sister-in-law) recipes with the catfish. Still have more of both for another day too.

  1. I guess no wind could be a problem if you're in a sailboat, but then only if you need to get somewhere. Looks to me like you're having a pretty good time of it wherever you are. Loving the blog and the pictures! (except that one of the oysters-pass the peanut butter). Really I'm just trying to learn to communicate as this is my first foray into the blogosphere... Love you two!
