A Tour of Serenada

My sister Margaret is a realtor, and she’s encouraged me to post a few pictures and provide a ‘tour’ of our home on the water. So for those of you who may be curious about our living space aboard Serenada, I’ll share a few pictures, and attempt to give you a tour….

Our sunken living room, tastefully fashioned in cream and burgundy with accents of taupe.  It has wrap around seating and plenty of natural lighting made possible by its’ skylight.

Serenada’s kitchen. Gil loves it, because it’s only built for one.  He’s the Captain, so that makes me chief cook and bottle washer. It has a 3 burner stove (hidden by the serving tray) with gimballed oven, refrigerator and freezer (on the right), deep stainless sink, a cold cellar (behind the sink), pantry (behind the stove), a couple of cupboards (on either side of the pantry), and a cutlery drawer (upper right).

The dining room seats 4 comfortably, and is fashioned in the same colour palette as our sunken living room. It also has plenty of natural light provided by a skylight.

Master Bedroom (Night & Day)
with 'His' and 'Hers' closets on either side
.....and ensuite.

Guest Bedroom with ensuite.

My sister also suggested a new name for our boat: "For Sail." Or did she mean "For Sale?!"  LOL

Serenada, our home on the water, is a 1983 Ontario 32 sailboat which measures 32’ long and has a beam (its’ widest point) of 11'.  It's very spacious as you can see from the above pictures :-)
Can you see how it all fits together into this photo below... ?

Good things come in small packages.

  1. That is the cutest write-up. Funny how true it is, we small boat cruisers cram all these useful spaces into such a small area. What do they say, everything on a boat must have at least 2 uses, including the rooms.

    Hope you guys are well.

  2. Diana, I love these pictures. You are a master of staging. I especially liked the way you presented the wine cellar. And the color palette of your boat shows so well too!
