We left our anchorage near Sebastian Inlet this morning, and
sailed to Fort Pierce Inlet, where we’ve
anchored in Faber’s Cove, on the east side of the ICW and within walking
distance of the ocean.

It finally feels tropical!
There seems to be as many palm trees as other types of trees, and it’s
warm J
My sister was telling me that we were getting close to South
Beach. Funny, but we wouldn’t have realized
that we found it, were it not for the t-shirt our server was wearing when we
stopped for french fries! It said something like: “Enjoy the flavors, South
Beach, Fort Pierce.” We stumbled on South Beach completely by accident.
It’s a happening place …. kite surfers, wind surfers,
fishermen, and plenty of beach lovers.

Again, dolphins cozied up to Serenada .... I did the best I could to capture one on film...
Diana, I double checked with my friend and the South Beach he was referring to is adjacent to Miami Beach next to Lummus Park due east of Miami! I did not realize there was more than one South Beach. That is an area of very posh hotels and the beach he said was fantastic. Plus the chance of seeing a few heartthrob stars. ;)
ReplyDeleteSince Curt is into engineering once you catch up with them it's a short ride into Homestead FL to see the Coral Castle Museum. It's an interesting engineering feat performed by one man. Just fyi.
