Cocoa, Fl

Cocoa sunrise

Cocoa was virtually a ghost town, as we visited on US Thanksgiving Day, and everyone must have been home with their families having turkey.  Our day was very quiet. We had hoped to catch sight of the SpaceX launch from Cape Canaveral, but it was postphoned again L

In Cocoa, there were signs everywhere beckoning to shop here and shop there!!

We obliged on Black Friday, but only to refill our propane tanks and pick-up water jugs (no bargains).

That done, we were on our way again. The Indian River is very long and straight… and today the wind was directly behind us…..  so we sailed wing-on-wing  (for landlubbers, that’s one sail out to the right (starboard), and the other out to the left (port)) until early afternoon; when the wind shifted to the east and gave us a broad reach for the remainder of the day... another day without the engine noise :-)

"wing-on-wing"

We've anchored for the night just off the ICW at mile marker 937,  west of Sebastian Inlet.

More bloopers….
