10 minutes of sunshine

Today’s weather forecast was for a day of sunshine, so Gil & I decided we’d stay put and tackle a few boat jobs. What did we get? Maybe 10 minutes of sunshine… just enough to create this rainbow.

Then it was gone! It rained ALL day #@*%!^  So, in the rain Gil secured our recently purchased water jugs to an outside rail, and took down the windmill to add some shock absorbing rubber to it's supports (hoping to reduce its' noise); and I took out one section of our enclosure to restitch a section of zipper that came undone, and cleaned Serenada's waterline from the dinghy. At the end of the day, we both looked like drowned rats! We had planned for a steak BBQ for dinner, and that also happened in the drizzle :-(

We are likely to stay put here for another day, as we still have more boat jobs. Yesterday, the main furler jammed due to a broken pulley/block. Gil replaced that part today, but now we need to run the main sheet back through the boom, which means taking it off. I want to do some inside cleaning, as with all the humidity we've had, we're getting mildew in spots - yuck. There's always something that needs to get done!

With this cruising lifestyle, we often forget what day of the week it is. Today was Sunday?! ....and we worked all day?!
