Our son, Curtis has come for a visit. He’s recently
graduated from University of Guelph, and begins life as an engineer with
Callisto Integration in Oakville in early June.
The island of St. Martin/St. Maarten was a good rendezvous
point. We were able to pick Curtis up from the airport with our family car
(aka: Sea Biscuit, our dinghy)! The dinghy landing is a 5 minute walk from the
airport terminal. What a hoot.
Once aboard, we elected to relocate to a quieter anchorage.
We moved from Marigot Bay to Grand Case Bay, both on the western side of the
island. We watched the sunset while sipping libations in the cockpit J.
The following morning, we motored a very short distance to
take a mooring ball at Rocher Creole rocks, where we enjoyed our first snorkel
together (except for the hords of non-stinging jellyfish).

That same day, as we had a fair weather window, we
motor-sailed for St. Barth’s island; but stopped at Ile. Fourche, just shy of St. Barth’s. There, we
snorkeled again (no jellyfish J).
Please see our next blog post for our underwater photos :-)
