At anchor between Ellis Is. & Statue of Liberty

We've moved just a little, from the 79th St. Boat Basin to an anchorage behind the Statue of Liberty, between it and Ellis Is.

The traffic in NY Harbour is as busy as its' city's streets: other boaters, charters, sailing schools, water taxis, ferries, cruise ships....

Some even transit land!

We dodged all the traffic and dropped anchor between Ellis Is. & Liberty Statue.

For those of you who are good at finding Waldo, can you find CS'ta Time in this photo? From our anchor, this was our view - Jersey, Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Liberty.

Today's "sundowner," shared with Jorge and Kim was the best yet (but my camera's not good at night).

Something must be special in lower Manhattan on Sept. 9th, other than our arrival :-), because it was celebrated in style, and we were lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time!  ...and I was lucky enough to still be up :-)
