Two years ago, the storm Irene hit the town of Waterford (where we stayed a couple of nights). On their Visitor's Centre there is a plague indicating where the waterline rose to - it's hard to believe it could have gotten so high!

We left Waterford a week ahead of their annual tug boat festival; though we had one on the wall ahead of us. Those "fenders" are all made of rope!

The scenery down the Hudson is at times tranquil, and other times very commercial ....

That is CS'ta Time and Vita (Rob & Serena's Bayfield 29) in both pictures.

Tidal waters require some special adaptations, such as this ????

After Waterford, we stopped again when we reached the Castleton Boat Club. There, we raised our masts - CS'ta Time's, Serenada's, and Vita's - in the sweltering heat. Afterwards, beer and pizza never tasted better!
