Ahhh.....'just feel that breeze!
We could relate to this guy - it was HOT yesterday. So, late in the afternoon when we pulled up to refuel at a marina which happened to have showers :-), we all (4 of us) were compelled to take advantage of them. It allowed the weather to gain on us. We had hoped to get from the fuel dock to our overnight dock (about 1 1/2 miles further downstream) before the weather hit us ... we could see it coming for us! Instead, we all got a second free shower courtesy of mother nature.
Yesterday was only the second time we've refueled. Our first tank of deisel took us to Belleville; and this second tank from Belleville to Hermiker (east of Utica). We're getting about 40hr. of motoring from each tank. Amazing.
We've met another couple on the same adventure. Rob and Serena Cole from Belleville are travelling south on VITA, their 1983 Bayfield 29. Coincidentally, Serenada and CS'ta Time are also 1983 models! We will surely be crossing paths with Rob & Serena often.
Can you see CS'ta Time? She has just cleared the dredging barge ... we've seen several on the Erie Canal. They may still be cleaning up after hurricane Sandy?
