18.May.2019 Headaches

There's always something....

While in Beaufort we took advantage of the services available there - refuel, refill water, and pump out the holding tank. Or so we thought we had. I'll spare you the details except to say that we knew something wasn't right. There was an odour on board and we both got headaches (literally and figuratively). We returned to the pump out station. Tried again. Murphy was with us - Murphy's Law says that if something can go wrong, it will. Turns out that air was getting in through the Y-valve and negatively impacting on the suction of the pump out station. Big headache.

Things come in threes....

We had thought our dinghy woes were behind us, until Gil revved up the outboard, and it didn't speed us along. The prop was slipping.

Gil periodically checks our solar charge controller. It wasn't reading anything.

Headaches.
