nearing Bequia
Today's sail from Canuoan to Bequia was bumpy, but fast; and done on one tack until the mouth of Admiralty Bay. Getting into that deep bay, however, took several tacks! At one point during this 'bumpy' sail, our depth sounder stopped displaying .... I think it found air beneath its' transducer, which is mounted closer to the bow.
I lost half my closet on the 'bumpy' passage
We anchored back amongst friends, Gregg & Joe on Serenade, and Ralph & Mary on Nightwatch.
Gregg & Joe on Serenade
Ralph & Mary from Nightwatch
Happy Hour was spent together on Nightwatch, until Gil & I had to make a quick getaway back to Serenada, as it started to rain (heavily) and we had left our boat's hatches and windows open (stupid move - we know better than to do that).
There are high winds and big seas in the forecast for the next week; so we shall be staying put here and exploring this island with our friends on Nightwatch and Serenade.

By the way, our dinghy is no longer a 'wrinkled dink,' it's whole again. We have finally and successfully repaired its' valves, leaks and rub rail.
back to health
