Dinghy Drift

Survival Anchorage
Serenada is the red top, bottom right

Around the southwest corner of Grenada there are several anchorages, all loaded with boats waiting out the storm season. There is a cruisers net every morning (but Sunday) which keeps us informed of any security issues, weather, social events, restaurant specials, etc.  We hoisted our sails and headed on over to 'Survival Anchorage.'

full moon

One of the more laid back activities that cruisers enjoy, when the full moon is up, is a dinghy drift. We congregate somewhere on the water in our dinghies, and bring sundowners (or moon uppers) and munchies. Tied to each other, our flotilla of dinghies drift with the changing tide. We drift and chat and laugh and sip and munch. It's fun.

Guilloume & Gwen were dog-sitting Desi,
who became the star attraction at the dinghy drift

Not so laid back, but also a lot of fun to play and/or watch is volleyball just off the beach.

While watching the teams duke it out, we could also plane spot, as Survival Anchorage is pretty much under the flight path from Grenada's international airport.

One activity that wasn't fun, for Gil & I, was....

a trip to the dentist :(

Mercifully, across the street from the dentist, was the wine store.

our reward for going to the dentist.

We took the wine with us when we bid farewell to Greg's guests, Terry & Janet, aboard Guilloume & Gwen's Slow Waltz, and it disappeared.
