Upper Concord Falls

Our third day together was an active one. We packed our lunches and hopped aboard the city buses to take us to the trail head for Concord Falls. The walk to Lower Concord Falls follows a road along a river valley, which is lush with fruit and spice trees.

From the Lower Concord Falls to the Upper Concord Falls, however, is a vigorous hike through the rain forest, where it is impossible to keep your shoes either clean or dry. The river must be forded many times. The photos tell the story ...
