Saying good-bye to Bequia

A weather window has opened up, and that provides us an opportunity to move on, and so at first light tomorrow morning we shall be hoisting the anchor and pulling up our sails!

We've enjoyed our time on the small island Bequia - approximately 4 square miles in size, with a population of 5,000. It's relatively unspoiled, but lively enough to be entertaining.

Snorkeling has been particularly good here, with reefs near enough to swim to from our boat. I never seem to tire of it; I'm always in the water until I'm cold and wrinkled.

The island's also good for walking. Most recently, a group of us walked up to Fort Hamilton, which offered great views of Admiralty Bay.

We shall look forward to returning to this charming little island!
