Fond Farewell to Grenada

early morning double rainbow  ....  a good omen

Storm season's finally passed, and we bid Grenada a fond farewell  (though we'll be returning to spend Christmas there with our kids).  We had an awesome sail in 10-15 knot SE winds, on one tack, from St. George's anchorage in Grenada to Tyrell Bay on Carriacou Island. It took only 5 1/4 hr. as both wind and current favoured us.

bye bye Grenada

beyond the rocks

It felt like we never left Grenada, for there were several familiar boats in Tyrell Bay: Truant III, Moosetracks, Harmony, Namaste, and Unicorn. Word got around quickly that one restaurant was offering a BBQ chicken or rib dinner for only 15 EC ($6 US) - no reason to cook dinner at those prices! No one was turning that down.

a rooster up in a tree?!
