The week of Christmas through New Year’s whizzed by, and
what a great week it was to have our children share it with us. We felt so very
fortunate to be down here in the sunny south, pursuing our adventure, and to
have our family join us. They stayed in Key Largo, at Bay Harbour
Lodge, while we chose to stay on our boat, anchored out front of the lodge, and
dinghy in each day to visit.
The kids enjoyed the sunshine … a welcome respite from the
winter weather back home.

During the week the kids were with us, we had use of the car! So,
we picked up our new (previously enjoyed) dinghy in Fort Lauderdale, and ran
boater’s errands … propane refills, diesel & gas, laundry, more provisioning,
a trip to a hardware store, etc. Serenada
is packed full and as ready as she can be to cross the Gulf Stream over to the
Bahamas.
Now get looking South! It will be hurry up and wait for the right wind direction but with our weather up here we are sending lots of Northerlies.Happy New Year Sue & Gord
